Delft, The Netherlands – Applify today announced FlowSuite 6.9, an upgrade of its web based print management software. FlowSuite provides a company-wide management information system (MIS) with integrated web-to-print functionality. This combination turns FlowSuite into an innovative system that manages a wide range of administrative and production tasks. FlowSuite is a key tool in becoming more lean and agile without losing the efficiency focus. Version 6.9 further extends integration, options and userfriendliness.

 

FlowSuite is widely used as an advanced print manager that automates the printing process from online delivery to the final invoice. FlowOnline, the web-to-print portal of FlowSuite enables customers to submit, compose, customize and proof print jobs. These jobs can then be produced ‘on demand’, for example within 24 hours.

 

FlowSuite can be considered a true integration system, handling orders from estimating to planning, from prepress to production, from warehousing to invoicing. And, due to FlowSuite’s open structure, integration with financial systems is possible without any problems.

 

One the new features in version 6.9 is the option to apply the so called ‘print room calculation method’. This way of working optimises calculation and order handling for in-house print rooms or reprographic companies. Calculation can now easily be based on the actual work done and materials used. This speeds up order handling and forms the foundation of an efficient workflow.

 

Another innovation is improved internal outsourcing. Internal outsourcing manages the exchange of work with other departments or sister companies. FlowSuite 6.9 has further improved the financial handling of outsourcing for multi-location companies. Also, companies with businesses in several different countries will experience an improved ease of use in version 6.9.

 

The shift towards a fast, online workflow is supported by the developments on the web-to-print portal FlowOnline, of which a part was already visible in previous releases. Many print management tasks formerly only accessible through FlowCalc, are now integrated in the FlowOnline interface. This streamlines the ordering process, as well as the order management process. The so called ‘smart job tickets’ form the backbone of the optimised FlowCalc/FlowOnline integration path.
